FP 20-35 fluorophosphate-type speciality glass shows no loss of
transmission after irradiation with 200 K rads with a dose time of
10.68 min, optical density 0.08. Light transmission was 98.24% both
before and after irradiation. The specialty glass is designed for
applications in outer space, including as radiation-resistant lenses
and windows or solar panels for satellites.
